Re: Shipping Method

Everything I've received has come via DHL. They're fast (I'm in Edmonton), but bring extra brokerage fees over and above shipping. Usually DHL has it to my door in about 4 days after it ships.

Oh yeah, it's creepy as hell. Amazing that something that looks so nasty wouldn't be hostile.

Re: Leading Edge Games ALIENS RPG influences

And this is a great list. About only thing I'd add is Rogue (controversial I know =p ) and music of the spheres,. which while annoyingly been bloody stupid at the best of times, has some wonderful ideas and character moments. The bit about knowing the creature doesn't care about her but how she hop...

Re: Leading Edge Games ALIENS RPG influences

First half of out of the Shadows was decent, then it, and the rest of that trilogy, aren't good. Cold Forge is about the only decent novel to come out of Titan. Prototype is terrible, and Isolation is a pretty terrible adaptation. Echo was alright for YA fiction, but it's a little sloppy.

Re: Which Alien comic do I remember?

Yeah, those are the first couple of series of the Dark Horse comics. They've got collections out right now, I believe.

Re: Love the work put into this

I won't dispute that, Diego. The introduction of David in Covenant changed the tone of the film. And while David was a hi-light, for me, in Prometheus... his moustache twirling villainy in Covenant was tiresome.

And, honestly, I think Ridley needs to let someone else drive.

Re: Love the work put into this

Nah, he isn't. And what he says is canon, whether we like it or not. And it's no more immersion breaking than it's growth speed in my opinion, it was always part of the original 1979 film so it's certainly not something that breaks my immersion. I've really grappled with David being the progenitor ...
