Re: Map errata

>I assume the town symbols relate to the size of the town.
The original GDW 1st Ed map for Poland indicated cities that were in ruins (due to Nuke strike or ground combat) using a dot pattern not unlike what is used here for Skövde; possibly that's what is indicated here?

Re: The Swedish setting

So in the 'Cold war continues' scenario, with no cuts to the (West) German army, there likely wouldn't be any surplus Leo A4s.(Hence no such vehicle as Strv 121) What options would have been able in that case? Retaining the Strv103? Upgrades to the Centurion/Strv104? Early acquisition of the Strv 12...

Re: Vehicles, kit , etc

I guess the question I was really asking is to what extent the original GDW stuff needs to be updated, dropped or replace. Tank Breaker, for example, could sensibly be retained but renamed as Javelin. But should the Abrams-based SPAA vehicle (M691?) be retained (since it's pure fabrication)? Would i...

Re: The Swedish setting

When did Sweden get the Leo II's? (the A4's in particular) And who from? Were these surplus vehicles generated by defence cuts ('peace dividend') in other nations? With the alternate history (Cold War doesn't end), would these vehicles have been available? Or Cold war continues = no cuts = no surplu...

Re: The Swedish setting

If I recall correctly, the last GDW Edition (2.2) had the coup in Russia succeed, and as a result, the Cold War doesn't end in 1990, and no 'peace dividend' (that was the term in the UK, as I recall). If anything, tensions build. Hence, I would assume that the Swedish armed forces in the new game wi...

Re: So Glad Its Back But....

There are a number of fan sites, etc on the web. Not sure what the rules are here for posting links, but try searching for Forum,Juhlin.com, which is the main T2000 forum as far as I am aware. Also, take a look at Board Game Geek (though you need to then go to the RPG geek pages) - and remember to c...

Vehicles, kit , etc

One of the features of Twilight:2000 has been it's level of detail regarding vehicles, military equipment, etc - you didn't just have a tank, but an M1..only it wasn't just an M1, but an M1, or an M1A1, or an M1A2... I'm wondering if (and hoping that) that level of 'crunchy' military detail is to be...

Re: Twilight: 2000!

Having many fond memories of this game (mostly 1st Ed), I am looking forward to seeing this (even if I'm now of an age that it spends more time on the bookshelf than actually being used)

Re: Miniatures tips.

Firstly: first post, so Hello! The GZG figures are nice, but not especially 'alien-y' (I used some for a Traveller:2300 game more years ago than I care to remember: they seem to fit that universe very well). Beware also that they are 25mm, not the current wargames standard of 28mm or the 'heroic' 32...
