Rank 1 and 3 is a bonus to your attack rolls (i.e. melee and ranged combat) and Rank 2 increases damage to any hit done with said attack rolls. Magic doesn't have attack rolls.

Dragonslayer & Magic

Does anyone know if the General Talent called Dragonslayer is intended to apply to just ranged and melee weapons, or also to attacks via magic / spells? If it's unclear, how have different people handled it in-play?

Then that makes Lore a skill that only one player ever needs and completely invalidates the other PCs having it. We generated the party with the random adventurers booklet so one of the pcs has a Wits of 5 and a Lore of 3 and two other characters have lore as well. They might as well not have it in...

The party was offered the choice between deed to a castle and lordship over a nearby village (which would require them cleaning out the castle and repairing it though they didn't know this) or 40 gold. They opted for the quick pay out and have been living fairly well off their their coin for awhile...

It was about 15 hexes, which took about 4,5 days (circa 18 quarters). A question I cannot resolve myself. Player's Manual, p95, says you can choose to Feint or Retreat when you pick the Maneuver card. But in the Maneuver card, it says you can Fein or Run . Which one is the correct rule? Retreat or Run? Run & Retreat are distinct actions. I treat Maneuver as Feint...
