While you wait for them to respond, have you tried a different browser? I had a similar problem with drivethrurpg and it turned out to be a browser compatibility issue.

For things like the barricaded door my go to rule of thumb is just roll a d6; on a 1 the bad thing happens. On a 1 the barricade fails, or the creature finds another way in. Cascading panic is realistic and thematic... One of my favorite scenes in the game I ran was a character trying to read a medical log with Comtech (mentioned in a post above). he succeeded AND paniced so reasoned it was because the log was so horrific. He decided to 'hide' in the nearby science lab...

Played a highly modified version of Chariot of the Gods (switched an existing SWN game over to Alien and ported the characters over).  Characters found a derelict ship (the Cronus, minus spores and neomorphs) and began to explore it.  In three hours they managed to get from the D deck up to the brid...

I kind of like the idea of each character developing their own panic table over time.  Sort of like how the Overkill talent 'overrides' certain results, maybe you can 'earn' other table replacements. People tend to respond to stress in semi-predicable ways; maybe you are more prone to screaming rath...

Played it last night, it seems to work pretty well as written. I found the trick is to tailor the situation to the panic roll , instead of vice-versa.
