Looking for Coriolis lore junkies to lay it out for me.

I have the first 2 books of Mercy of the Icons and the core book, but don't have the 3rd yet. Outside of the basic lore of the game things get fuzy for me and while the campaign books are good for setting up the adventures they don't concisely spell out the facts of the lore in a concise way. Lookin...

Re: Ghosts and Cold attacks

So, my players are currently in the fall heading into winter season. They disturbed a ghost and one of them got cold. The attack + the cold effect managed to put them out of the fight (broken). I determined that the next interval would be the next quarter day. They had this quarter to successfully m...

Re: True grit

Whether or not a roll can be pushed is entirely up to the GM according to the PHB and most GMs will not allow a push that would break the character (you already rolled enough 1s to break yourself before you pushed). If the Dwarf True Grits until he would break the GM can just call it and have them b...

Re: Roughly when will Book of Beasts/Bloodmarch be shipped?

According to them the PDFs released at this point should be the versions going to the printers. They do still contain some errors though what I have seen have been REALLY minor stuff (Sleepy has been called Sleepless in a couple places). I would say you are 99% likely to be unaffected by any further...

Re: Power Rune recharging; recast or Transfer?

It does not explicitly state this, but I would argue that you don't NEED Bind magic to cast Power Rune and that would create a Rune that is used once and then no longer exists. But, if you DO use Bind Magic on a power Rune you can create a Power Rune that could be reused once a day IF you find a way...

Re: Roughly when will Book of Beasts/Bloodmarch be shipped?

From other kickstarter things usually print to door is somewhere around 2-3 months. There have been a bunch of print backlogs/slow downs which could still be happening. They get packaged and shipped to distribution centers which then organize them into shipping containers which then reach shipping p...

Re: [Moved] How would one drive home the time-consuming nature of Dungeon Exploration?

I was using your term. I thought you meant a cycle as 1 travel roll. The players can absolutely change who is leading the way after each roll. But only 1 roll is made to gain any progress moving from land mark to land mark at a time. I thought you were saying: 4 players, each one picks a skill or wh...

Re: [Moved] How would one drive home the time-consuming nature of Dungeon Exploration?

So... I devised a system that was bought up on here talking about the Spire of Quetzel. When I originally made the system it was a thought experiment on how to create a maze for an RPG and have it be fun. It kind of fits for this when talking about particularly large places. The system can be found...

Re: [Moved] How would one drive home the time-consuming nature of Dungeon Exploration?

In general I agree that adventure sites in Forbidden Lands are a matter of hours not day with some very few exceptions. You would need mega dungeons. One of which I think is actually the Spire of Quetzel. It takes a little work, but the maze sections and the ghost city are huge areas that could use ...
