Ready weapon is for knocking and arrow. If you have a dagger in your hand there is no reason to "prepare it" for the flick of a wrist needed to throw it. You already have it in hand to throw.

I let players buy into other prifession talents using the rules for magic without a trainer. X3 the cost base and another 3x the cost without someone to teach you.

Okay, so with it being a slow action there is even less of a reason to not be able to use a spear and charge from short to near. Is there any reason anyone can think to not allow it?

Well it's nice that they added that to the table of slow actions but they really should have put that in the wording of the Talent heh. Thanks for the clarifications.

The Talent, Melee Charge, says when you move from near to arms you can make an attack as part of the action. Moving from near to arms is a RUN action which is fast and the attack is free.
