Re: [Moved] How would one drive home the time-consuming nature of Dungeon Exploration?

So... I devised a system that was bought up on here talking about the Spire of Quetzel. When I originally made the system it was a thought experiment on how to create a maze for an RPG and have it be fun. It kind of fits for this when talking about particularly large places. The system can be found...

Re: [Moved] How would one drive home the time-consuming nature of Dungeon Exploration?

In general I agree that adventure sites in Forbidden Lands are a matter of hours not day with some very few exceptions. You would need mega dungeons. One of which I think is actually the Spire of Quetzel. It takes a little work, but the maze sections and the ghost city are huge areas that could use ...

Re: Questions about Torches, Oil Lamps and Dungeon-Exploration

The issue with an oil lantern is finding fuel. It's not like lamp oil is just around. Most inland villages won't have access to anything like a ready supply of it.

That up to the GM though. They need to stock stores appropriately.

Re: Bloodmarch and Book of Beasts, my players will be disappointed ...

Book of Beasts is actually the first product they put out that I am mostly disappointed with. The monsters do the typical game thing of adding an adjective to a monster we already have. Book of beasts includes 2 new ghosts, 3 dragons and 2 trolls. Great... I don't want "Bear. But now fire!"...

Re: Bloodmarch and Book of Beasts, my players will be disappointed ...

I don't have this problem for the campaign book or the book of beasts. That being said, I would at some point like a Players Guide 2 or whatever with expanded Kin options, maybe some guidelines for creating new Kin Talents for GMs, and expanded talents and equipment (official rank 4 and 5 of every c...

Re: The worm people

The worms numbers: What I was reading sounds like they reproduce very similar to slime molds. The 7th that exist are the last of the 7th generation that want to merge with the 8th mother to kick off her birth of the 8th and perpetuate their ascension. It doesn't matter how much land they controlled...

Re: The worm people

The worms numbers: What I was reading sounds like they reproduce very similar to slime molds. Basically they reproduce "normally" in the slime molds case cellular division and in the worms case general reproduction. But once they reach a critical mass they begin to merge together into a la...

Re: Moon Elf Reproduction and the nature of MoonStones

Awesome. So there are kind of 3 ways I see this going then. Either 1) Halflings and goblins are the natural form of the species and the moon stones came about and made moon elves. Which means there can only ever be as many moon elves as there are moon stones. or 2) Moon elves are the original specie...

Moon Elf Reproduction and the nature of MoonStones

Id like to talk over my current thoughts on Moon Elf reproduction, get others thoughts, and maybe have the devs chime in to fill in some blanks if they could. So the Moon Elves (ME) have Moonstones, right? Great. But, this clearly doesn't function in the same way as an Elf with their Ruby Heart Ston...
