Re: Zalos, what do we know?

I will be basing this off of the historical anarchy and blood soaked wars of the Sunni/Shia conflicts as far as adventures are concerned.  I don't see 40k - that's just not what comes to mind. A mini civil war based on a religious schism does.  Fair enough, I'd rather put a bit of a dark fantasy sp...

Re: About to buy Aliens RPG. Questions from a total Newb.

As I recall you only get a pdf currently by either buying direct from FL or through the Bits and Mortar program. I do not believe Amazon or other secondary sellers will get you the pdfs

Re: Mission Generator and economics of ships

This is where you take the Firefly route of some jobs are "grey" or even "black" to make ends meet... which of course leads to adventures because normal runs don't have much excitement.

Imagine the fun when they are chartered to deliver a 1 foot square briefcase for say 750k or more....

Re: Sidearm mistake/oversight?

My 2 cents - the VP-70 is not that well known plus the current background implies non-USCM characters (as in they have left the service if they were one versus active duty). As such civvies would not necessarily have access to military grade weapons. Yes I know the smart gun and pulse rifle are ther...

Re: Resource depletion/usage Program

Good to know. I made the calculation myself some time ago but by hand. Can't remember if the results where exactly the same, but should be. The resource system always has this strange feeling, because it goes down fast at the beginning and the slows down significantly. Welcome to real life! LOL I k...

Re: Miniatures tips.

Yes GZG are true 25mm but its not a huge stretch. The one thing they do have are many different lines based on factions. SO if one wanted say UPP looking troops they have several Russian lines to choose from. And their startship crews are generic enough to work anywhere.  Gripping is ok but they are...

Re: Would love to hear about the colonial marines from you lucky guys.

There is not much per se linked to the USCM - everything is very generic.

However, FL has stated that the first expansion due out next year is the USCM expansion

Re: Miniatures tips.

Prodos Games - unless given special dispensation by the IP holder - is done with the AvP line. So any of those minis will only be secondary market.  The GaleForce 9 ALiens game is due out soon with nice miniatures of USCM and Aliens. If it does well I would expect them to produce expansion packs.  G...
