Re: Willpower regardless of if you fail pushed roll

Understood, I mis-stated the rule. However, damaging yourself to cause an increase in willpower still seems odd.   more like exerting yourself and pushing yourself further than you thought you could. You might get a little bruised and your gear a little battered but you learned something about your...

Re: WorldAnvil or Dungeonfog

I'm also following the YouTube channel of How to be a great GM and have been thinking about backing Project Deios, but the only formula I could justify was the lifetime subscription, but that wasn't available anymore, which was a pity. Are we allowed to upload the map of Forbidden Lands on Dungeonf...

Re: Mounted combat

Hi there!!! I have another question related to dodging from a horse... When you DODGE in normal combat, you fall prone unless you take a -2 penalty. Do you think it would be fair to say that, if you are mounted, you fall from the horse unless you take a -2 penalty? I currently haven't ran horses in...

Re: WorldAnvil or Dungeonfog

I just started using Dungeonfog, seems really cool.  I'm going to try it in my next session. i supported the PROJECT DEIOS project on Dungeonfog but i hadn't used it before, it just seemed like a way to jumpstart my online maps. I also listen to How to be a Great Game Master on YouTube and Guy is a...

Re: Starting WP?

I start em with one, it just seems fair, and then I get to have a pool of 5 or six also.

Re: Hypothetical alternative willpower regeneration

I’ve not run enough sessions yet to get a good handle on it but I wonder if the issue of over-abundance of wp comes from too much rolling. Like issues that could be resolved narratively being put to the dice too often. I would also maybe think about willpower decay. So I've ran a bunch of games and...

Re: aquiring talents and Wits roll

I wouldn't allow pushing the roll for a few reasons. First the roll isn't a skill roll, just a wits roll so this isn't a skill test. Second the training isn't a about the stress of learning it is about how long does it take to learn. There is nothing lost except time for failing, the Experience poin...

Re: Sneak during combat

There would have to be some setup by the players/GM working to make ambush areas, choosing the battlefield so there are conditions like mist, darkness, bad lines of sight, ample cover, mapping cover then sneaking to get a better vantage, using darkness to try and disengage and move, etc. Being caugh...

Re: Reputation awards

While there aren't any stated game mechanics for lowering reputation, here are some thoughts You could set up local hero bands on the map, move beyond the band and the rep goes down a significant amount. A local hero may only be around a particular village or on one road they often are on. Local her...
