Re: Ambidextrous and Quickdraw

It doesn't matter. Drawing a light weapon costs no action when you have Quick draw, just do that twice and you have both your daggers.

Re: Learning Talents and Pushing a Wits roll

You are right that there are other types of rolls of course. I was a bit hyperbolic I guess. However, both armour and magic rolls are clearly described in their respective sections, they don't involve any attributes and magic even explicitly clarifies that the roll can not be pushed. And for coup de...

Re: Learning Talents and Pushing a Wits roll

pg 44 player handbook: If you are desperate to succeed with a skill roll , you can choose to push it. The Charisma roll is not a skill roll, ergo it can not be pushed. As far as I can see, there are no distinct types of rolls in the Forbidden lands rules. The rules we have describe how to roll usin...

Re: Melee Charge- Would you allow...

I agree with Skops. The rules clearly don't allow a short -> near charge with reach weapons. And there is no game balance reason to house rule it as reach weapons are already great.

Re: modified Bind Magic, unbalanced?

For low level, low power spells, sure. And also, how often is it feasible to get out that grimoire in combat? A permanently bound Earthquake would be insanely powerful in so many situations, but even more situational spells like puppeteer and immolate are great. Blood channel could also be an insane...

Re: Orc and Goblin PCs... oh my!

If this is they way they like to play, let them. The Forbidden Lands seem to be a setting with plenty of stuff to do for psychopaths.

Re: modified Bind Magic, unbalanced?

My players and I were discussing this tonight. Since making a permanent item almost guarantees that you will have a mishap and a mishap can kill you, we were struggling to understand the benefits of using the spell. I think your players severely underestimate how likely mishaps are on regular spells.

Re: Haggler's House name?

As a side note, the place is called Haggahus in swedish. The word ”Hagga” can roughly be translated to ”old woman”, ”crone” or even ”witch” and the word ”hus” translate to ”house”. So Hagglers house could be translated to something like ”the witch house” or ”house of the old crone”. Since the game ...

Re: Dodge & parry in a missed attack

Do you declare if you are dropping to the ground or staying on your feet for a dodge at the roll, or at the dodge declaration?
