Re: Rules hack : no action economy, minimal GM rolls, simpler actions, turn order/initiative

I wouldn't use that (I don't like the idea of having to track an increasing penalty), but it's certainly also a good alternative!

Rules hack : no action economy, minimal GM rolls, simpler actions, turn order/initiative

So, I like the YZ engine but being a huge fan of PbtA games, I stopped thinking in terms of rounds and number of actions and such.  I just can't go back to it, I find it unnatural and awkward. I especially don't like the whole tracking of fast/slow actions (I know they suggest the cards to track tha...

Re: Consumables

I think it's important to only use the consumables system when interesting or dramatically correct. If you can plan your spacewalk or hike, have nothing weird happen, and finish on time, you shouldn't even have to roll. You're supposed to roll for air every turn, so how could you ever spend a shift...

Re: Health?

You regain 1 health every turn (5-10 min) unless someone can use First Aid on you.
That worries me a bit. Maybe it's only in Cinematic mode though, but I fail to see how this helps increasing tension in a 1-shot.
I'd definitely not give auto-regen if I ever play Campaign.

Re: Health?

Strength is just used to determine the base health, their is no attribute degeneration like in Forbidden Lands. This make armor by far more important, because a single shot could easly break an average human (very realistic!). And even such a small xenomorph like a bloodburster with it´s 6-8 base d...

Re: Health?

Hmm does that mean they've gone away with attribute damage at all?

Health?

Hi! So I've had a look at the character sheet, but did not (yet) pre-order, so don't have access to the Campaign PDF. I'm curious how Health works in this game. I have Forbidden Lands at home and in this game, your damage goes directly to your attributes (which I liked because it makes combat very d...

Re: Printer Friendly Character Sheets?

Just made this.
Not perfect, but it'll cover you until an official release.

It's too big for me to attach here so here's a Google Drive link : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dyUf1 ... uLsGNZjLCK

Re: No Multiple Combats in a day?

It's a perk of the system in my eyes.

It means the party can't rely on murderhoboism. They need to find alternative solutions and plan out their attacks if they do.
