Re: Can you push Dodge and Parry?

It's easy to see attack and parry/dodge as opposed rolls, which would mean you cannot push the parry/dodge. However, I think because they're special reactive actions, and the game explicitly doesn't mention them in the opposed rolls section (it mentions stealth and manipulate), I think they're meant...

Re: Can you Keep Watch while Resting?

The book calls out the things you can do simultaneously, like hike and pathfind, etc.  I wouldn't let someone rest while keeping watch. Rest isn't sleep, but it is just taking it easy to not only let your tired body heal but also your mind. Keeping watch for dangers in the dark for 6 hours is not ho...

Re: Path of the Shield clarification

Path of the Shield says you can parry the attack for the ally, not that you become the target of the attack. So RAW it seems pretty straightforward that it's just the parry, and any damage that gets through still applies to the original target. That being said, having the Path of the Shield fighter ...

Re: Spell Casting & Free Hands

Note that Symbolism magic says in the book that you do need a free hand to do the spells. None of the others do though.

Re: Ambidextrous and Knife Fighting

The RAW is no, because you only have a Max of two fast actions per turn.

Knife fighter is for if you want more accuracy but lower base damage. Two attacks per round with d8 artifact die but only 1 damage.

Ambidextrous is for if you want to attack twice with more powerful weapons.

Re: Using Willpower on Talents

It's just one extra attack. Look at rank 3 of the same talent for the wording when multiple WP can be spent.

Re: Hidden spellcasting

The Obscure Magic general spell is for this. If you don't want to be noticed, you obscure by spending an extra WP to do so.

Re: Quesation about Parrying done by Monsters.

Death Knight is meant to parry.  I know the book says if a monster has a weapon they can parry, but I read it to mean if they have a parrying weapon. Just like a PC, you can only parry with weapons that can do so, like swords. A club isn't a parrying weapon, whether for a PC or a giant. Plus if they...

Re: GM Will Power, "balancing" encounters, Monster Armor

almost none of the NPCs I've had from the campaign have had talents to use NPCs found in the campaign and the GM guide are IMO too weak and need some boosting. Considering that new PCs have three talent points, most NPCs of any importance should have at least that many too. I noticed that too. I th...
