Re: Dragonbane Beta Orphans

I don't have a lot to contribute, as I haven't played Dragonbane much yet, but I see this sort of discussion as a positive thing and not at all an "edition war." Please keep us updated about what works for you and what doesn't, since my group is still trying to get a feel for the vibe of t...

Re: T-shirts

Oh, my suggestion was just one option. Essentially, Johan Egerkrans has done a zillion awesome images and I'd buy a t-shirt with most of them if chosen. I mostly would like to run Dragonbane at a game store and love to wear the shirt of a game when I run it in public. You picked some great ones. 8-)

T-shirts

What we need are Dragonbane (or Drakar och Demoner) t-shirts with cover art in an emerald green color that matches the official dice.

Who's with me on this? :D

Re: 1e D&D conversion guidelines?

An interesting observation is that Armor Class in many of the D&D clones and recent editions is easier to convert than the originals. Original D&D AC was set so that lower numbers were better armor, but the ascending AC of the newer editions (3E and newer) starts with 10 and gets better as t...

Miniatures

I have been looking for Dragonbane miniatures ever since I saw a post on Facebook a few weeks ago. I am now even more interested since my son got a 3D printer for Christmas. Am I correct in thinking that the only way to get 3D printer files is to sign up for a subscription? I am mostly interested in...

Re: Monster book?

I went through a stack of AiMe products and made a list of the monsters found therein.

(1) I still have not determined if conversion to LotRR is needed.

(2) You still have to buy the products, but I thought a list would be nice.

I was trying to attach my list, but am apparently struggling with it.

Re: Why the 'verticality'?

I think that this is a flavor thing more than a realism thing. Uber-tall buildings have a lot of problems, as you noted. I think the idea would be that if the population explodes but the surface area of the Earth doesn't change then going taller is the only way to expand.

Re: Players can't seem to grasp the "feel" of Tolkien

I wonder if part of the problem comes down to the movies. Even if one wants to quibble with some of the details, I think that the three LotR movies had a good "Tolkien feel" overall. The Hobbit movies, on the other hand, had a very different feel -- more humor and "Warhammer" dwa...
