Re: The Bitter Reach - Locations

In my opinion, Frostwind Hold should be somewhere in Barren Hills. Palace of the Ice Giants could also be there, but Alter Mountains is also a good spot as there they could oversee the whole glacier from the watchtower. I think the Palace of the Winter King should be in White Peaks because in the en...

Couple of questions about the Bitter Reach

There are some named places which aren't mentioned in the book, such as Serfhaven and Fist of Namtar. Is the GM supposed to make them a significant Adventure Sites of their own or what? Second, on the Palace of the Ice Giants "Spark of Life" and location #6 are mentioned, but location #6 s...

Re: Animals and magic that does not affect monsters

Thanks for the clarifications!. And yes, the character was a sorcerer, not druid. My mistake.

Animals and magic that does not affect monsters

Hello, This issue came up in our latest session.  A druid wanted to use 'Horrify' spell to chase away a wild boar, but boars are technically monsters (At least they are in the bestiary) and even more so, boars do not have Wits stat. I didn't allow the Druid to use the Horrify spell, but it didn't lo...

Storytime from The Hollows (Contains spoilers)

So, quite some time ago I asked about this problem  https://forum.frialigan.se/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=5046&p=38786#p38786  . Due to unforseen circumstances we finally got around to play the next session today and we had a blast. I was asked to tell how it went, so here goes: The session starte...

How to handle massive battles

Hi All, Hopefully my party won't find this, but the last session ended with another half of the party inciting Yawin and his loyalists to rise against mrs. Pollmor, Sturkas and the city militia and now the two groups, slightly over 20 people, are on the verge of crossing swords on the bridge between...

Players pushing forage/hunting etc.

So we ran into this situation: Party was preparing to sleep for the night and they were quite banged up already. While one of them remained to set the camp, others went on foraging. Now, even when they succeeded in their roll, they decided to push their roll with an intention to roll skulls to get W...

Re: D&D style ready action

It probably wouldn't have been as much of a problem both PC's didn't have their turn before the NPC. Also, there isn't really rules about intercepting.

I assure you I bent rules a bit here and there, using both ambush and sneak attack rules. :)

D&D style ready action

This situation occurred to our group just now. In battle Sulfur the Sorcerer used Entice (drawing the magic sign to his palm) to lure a goblin archer out of his cover out in the open. Krii the Rogue wanted to lay low nearby and shank the goblin the moment he walked out of his cover. However, Krii's ...
