I hope there will be staves and hammers. We know that some of the trolls "wielded heavy hammers" in the battle at the Black Gate in LotR , and that the hobbits gather to oppose Sharkey "with axes, and heavy hammers , and long knives, and stout staves ; and a few had hunting-bows."...

TOR for me. As much inspiration as D&D took from Middle-earth, it's not the right system for it at all.
