i raised the question, and after some thought agree that there shouldn't be any sort of darkvision allowed as it makes the need for torches pointless. everyone has been cooped up away from the dangerous darkness for 300 years, maybe they once had it and it has since "worn off"?

do different races have different languages? i don't see mention of that anywhere. also, do dwarves (or other races) have any sort of dark vision that they typically do in other fantasy settings?

I still don't quite understand the use of grimoires. you can put time and effort into making a book with some helpful spell notes, but it makes the spell worse/weaker?

i was tempted to learn some scripting language in order to convert the MYZ sheet to FBL, but i just don't have the time. hopefully some hero swoops in and saves the day.
