Re: Initiative with cards

Just let the GM draw last and ppl with the Talent to draw more than one card first.
As I understand the rules you can each round, (even at start of combat)switch cards between players anyways (as long as they can hear each other), so it rarely matters.

In the evening  Character A makes camp,  Character B can rest (or try to roll survival and sleep),  Character C keeps watch In the night Character A and C sleep, character B keeps watch, forci...

Several questions regarding Damage/Broken and Chill of the Grave

1. If you get more damage than you can have, are you just broken (ie Str3, gets 5 damage) or instantly dead? What if you are broken and ongoing damage does another point of damage? 2. The Spell Chill of the Grave is cast with Power Lvl3,  Victim is COLD and gets 1dmg per round, later in the  first r...

Re: Technical aids for playing

The usual techniques for such exploring are: -roll20 -A beamer mounted on the ceiling, with computer connected to it, GM can change the map&battlemaps on the fly -whiteboard or a hexmap. Chessex produces such blank maps -put the (fully fleshed out) map in a picture glassframe with a heigthened e...

Re: Willpower

nah, keeping with the theme of the game, I would say, that the elves just sacrificed used their orc slaves as batteries, another reason for the "good" relations between the two races and gives orcs a more sad theme.

Re: Willpower

Like a multiplier, too. Instead of gaining one MP per push, they gain 2 or 3 per push and start the session with more.

Re: Combat Maps?

You could use a distance map(if you want to have distances locked in the mind of the players) like it is used in 3:16, where it is just like a ruler/divided zones, markers are just put in a zone. Example: Touch : P1, P2, Enemy1, E2 Close P3, E3, E4 Long: P4 Out of combat Scene: the standard trope in...

Re: Hidden Combos

Maybe an automatic mechanic could be implemented, I am thinking of boardgames that use such a mechanic, f.e. KingdomDeathMonster, or D&D4s MonsterManual1 that had suggestions which combinations of powers worked best. Example: Orcs are wild, reckless fighters, that will always use Chop&Chop o...
