Different region maps?

Has anyone made (or converted) their own maps for different regions to explore?

I'm not so much interested in established IP like Forgotten Realms, more like homebrew regions or those from less well established games like Dungeonslayers.

Re: Zalos, what do we know?

I will be basing this off of the historical anarchy and blood soaked wars of the Sunni/Shia conflicts as far as adventures are concerned.  I don't see 40k - that's just not what comes to mind. A mini civil war based on a religious schism does.  Fair enough, I'd rather put a bit of a dark fantasy sp...

Re: Zalos, what do we know?

I think it’s there to make up on the fly.  I see it as a place for players interested in W40k style Only War. In my head cannon, the Zalosians on A are actually the most moderate, the insurgents in B are even more extreme. We also have in our group somebody born on Daberan who was a slave in the sh...

Zalos, what do we know?

So I have the core book and the Atlas Compendium so I have some basic details.  But what else is there on Zalos? I'm planning a campaign where my PC (Playing a 1 PC and Narrator campaign) is going to head to Zalos to find out more about the missing Bulletin reporter and also the underground ring smu...

Re: "Atlas of the Third Horizon" in English soon?

Is this a different product to the Atlas Compendium?

Re: Hostages

(reference to popular tv/culture) In Game of Thrones, the term Ward would cover this I think?

Theon Greyjoy is a Ward of House Stark, left in their care lest the Greyjoy's move against the larger house. Very much a 'hostage'.

Re: Planning A Campaign

I like your ideas. I have an online group I'm running and I am trying to do the same things myself. I think adding family ties and other connections will be a big part of what makes the universe feel more like home for the players. Keeping a record of their interactions with the different factions a...

Re: MONSTER: Manticore

I see what you're saying, but I feel that there is plenty of variation - we have 10 sentient races, after all! But that's one of the benefits of getting an OGL - we can all tweak our games to suit our own tastes.  There's nothing stopping you from creating your own additional Kin as playable (or no...

Re: MONSTER: Manticore

True. Maybe a half-dozen additional races, but with a deeper culture to draw on and different factions within those races. Why do we need more races than presented in the book?  I personally don't want the official setting to turn into some D&D clone.  IMO, it has just the right amount of sentient ...

Re: MONSTER: Manticore

A few humanoids that don't just become someone you kill but an interesting opponent and possible ally is more fun.
