Re: Can you write down chance-cast spells in your grimoire?

"...you can cast a spell at one rank above your magical talent. However, this comes at a great risk, as you will automatically  suffer a random magical mishap in this case." (their italics, not mine) To me, it would seem that you could indeed write the spell in a grimoire if you so choose,...

Re: Exorcism

Hiya, My group is just starting to dabble and question the mystic side of things. They have been fully enjoying the more scientific end of things so far :) At it's core, the system seems to be, exorcism = Mystic Power test with the usual 0=possible failure, 1 = min success 3+ = major success. That s...

Re: Animated Armor

Hiya,
On page 133 of the main book there is a list of all weapon and armor features available to add a little variety and surprise :) This is also important because on the previous page in the armor and shields section some of the heavier exo suits also have slots available for adding features.

Re: Reloading and NPCs

Yeah I just use the same rules for both sides. Smarter npcs are less likely to run empty than gangers or low ranked guards.

Re: One last birr

I think the intent is that instead of trying to get basic subsistence with manipulation (sob stories, threats of violence, bargaining for later payment, etc) you can just rely on skills / abilities you possess to "pay" for goods. This probably isn't intended to provide enough currency to c...

Re: AP and combat turn sequence

Yeah autofire on it's own can leave you in a bad spot if you're unlucky on the dice rolls. That being said, with high capacity mags (ignore your first "1" on the autofire task) coupled with Machinegunner talent (same thing and stacks with high cap) you can really do some damage. Let's say ...

Re: Antimatter rockets and acceleration

Hiya, sorry for such a late reply but since I see no one else has said anything I'll give it a shot heh. Quick and dirty version, yes acceleration could apply to all maneuvers and just increase the total score by +2, and it's perfectly acceptable to do so. I think, however, the initial intent is tha...

Re: Ion missile -- what is it and how to use it?

Option 2 fits best. It's similar to torpedoes as far as damage goes, but it's only functional at short or closer range (and does not include travel speeds). The cost does not reflect individual shots like the torps do, and all references to countermeasures/defensive fire manage to leave these out, s...

Re: Ship Combat & Shields

So you got me thinking about and I have something for you to consider. Drop ship armor 1 point on all ships and use the shield feature to add the point back. As far as standard ship combat would go nothing changes. The shield point would be passive added. The operator could then use his ability to i...

Re: Ship Combat & Shields

I thought Ion weapons were designed to ignore shields in SW? I like the idea of the operator increasing an arcs defense though.
