Re: Classes

Ha ha ha. Hey, I'm just asking the question before somebody else does. Definitely! I wonder if it stresses out or makes then happy that we're so curious.  It most definitely makes us happy but it's hard to find the time to write the game, and at the same time answer questions here, but I try to rea...

Re: Classes

Small towns, it could be a bit easier for a weird kid to be popular, maybe an eccentric creator kind of deal? Weird but he's, say, an artist or a child actor. That kind of deal. But I agree on the multiclassing! It would be fun to see what we could do with this kind of thing, where I doubt we'll ha...

Re: Mysteries

I could just see a child's viewpoint running against a wall. They've befriended something dangerous without knowing, only to go through a normal routine of being hit and have a raptor fly through the window to attack a parent.  Brilliant. I sort of want to read that book. Oh, it would be so tense. ...

Re: Age Of Innocence (Character Ages)

Ah thanks! That makes good sense. I've not been able to have Simons books shipped to me, I've been living on an island.  Cheers. I only have Things From the Flood in PDF from the first Kickstarter. I still need to get Tales From the Loop so I'm on an island, too :) Haha. No, I mean, I actually live...

Re: Luck

I like the idea of Luck depletion. "Pushing your luck" during a Mystery should incur a sense of danger, that you can't get away with everything. The question is whether it is replenished in full and at what rate. Also, could pooling the party members' luck be something? It would make sense. "Pushin...

Re: Classes

Hi! Yes, more information on the Types (classes) is coming in the Beta PDF. In the meantime, here is the complete list of Types to play: Computer Geek Jock Troublemaker Popular Kid Rocker Weirdo Hick Bookworm Yah. Quick question. What are the options (if any) for multi-classing? I can imagine a Joc...

Re: Source materials for 1980s (UK)?

Anyone know where you can get good maps of local areas for 1980s UK locations? I have googled, searched eBay, looked at the OS and Stanford maps sites etc., but they only have more historical maps or modern day ones. Will it require a trip to the local records office? I've also looked for pictures,...

Re: Luck

Luck will depend on the age of the child as well. Younger the child, less the attributes, more the luck.  I used to get beat up by a kid who was two years younger than me, so this seems unfair to me, hehe. Smiley face, also Frowny face. Nothing to be ashamed about. The most popular 'Buliled kid str...

Re: Luck

We've been trying out the luck-rules in CoC 7th edition. I think the mechanic is kind of cool, but it doesn't really match the lovecraftian theme. It could work in Loop, though.

Re: Mysteries

The other thing to note, too, is that the kids will see the world through children's filters. They may know that their parents fight a lot, but they might not guess at their parents' infidelities or that the adults are heading to a divorce. Likewise, serious things might go over their heads or mund...
