Re: Slavery in mutant zero?.

Just a semi-related question, on the (gone but not forgotten... unless I’m looking for a specific topic) Google+ forum there was a variant/house rule to Shake It Off that had the PC roll their Shake It Off skill+(the attribute suffering trauma) instead of always using Strength. How do you think this...

Re: Pushing your dice roll when defending in combat..

Mutant: Year Zero p48 Conflicts: In a conflict (Chapter 6), an opposed roll only counts as an action for you, not for your op- ponent (the defender). Defending in close combat (page 84) is technically not an opposed roll, as it follows somewhat different mechanics. I guess the way they look at it, D...

Officer’s Command skill

This came up last night (first time anyone played an Officer): under the Officer’s Command skill (Elysium p51) it says “During a conflict, giving an order counts as an action (however, see the Quick Com- mand talent).” Problem is there is NO “Quick Command” Talent for Officers or in General Talents....

Re: [Moved] What is a bitterbeast?

For some reason, I have always ‘seen’ & described a Bitterbeast as a giant, acid-spitting salamander.

Starving

Under Starving (Elysium p81) the 3rd effect says: “As soon as you have eaten one ration of food, you are no longer starving, and can recover normally. To recover all damage (above) you need to consume another ration of food” Is this an official change from Genlab Alpha where you needed to eat 1 rati...

Re: Double Agent

If I am reading the response correctly, it’s not “3 players get the xp” but “the other players get the xp” (in the event you have more than 4 players total).

What would the effect(s) of attacking someone in a grapple?

If someone wanted to Shoot or Fight a target that was grappling with a third party, what would be the effects and/or penalties be?

Re: The Feral Effects chart - does it need a tweak?

I would either say your players were very unlucky or their dice outright hate them.  The majority of Powers can only spend 1 FP at a time and if they came up 1’s that often, I would check the dice for bias.  It is possible for plastic dice to form “imperfections” when they are cast, especially in op...

Re: InterSpecies love?

In my setting there are a few rules regarding offspring:      1) Humanoids can mate with any other human-derivative but are infertile amongst themselves.  The species of the offspring always matches the non-Humanoid parent.      2) Mutant Animals always have offspring in sets of two.  The species al...
