Re: Question : Xenomorph death and Synthetic reparation

Thanks a lot again for this great answer and the time you spent ! Ok again, i found this too powerful to be true.  It means, if there is a stealth xeno in the zone a PC can be condemned or worse can die without a warning lol  I find this really good for one shot scenario but it's a bit hard for a c...

Re: Campaign Mode... some thoughts

Plus, the stress system is a great push-your-luck mechanic. One not present in Traveller and Serenity, present but much less brutal in Firefly or Savage Worlds.  Have I named Traveller, Savage Worlds or anything else as alternative? Yes, sounds like hell of fun. Session 0 "Wanna play a longterm cam...

Re: Spaceship fuel use

I've turned fuel, air, food and water into supply dice. I make my players roll for fuel at the start and end of a trip and for the others roughly once a day. If it needs a refill I use the prices found in Coriolis.

Re: How dose Quick Draw - Rapid Fire combo works?

A few things. As far as dual wielding Pulse Rifles go, I don't remember seeing them shoot one in Aliens with only one hand. I'd be tempted to say that all rifles are two handed weapons and leave it at that. On this Quick Draw and Rapid Fire talent I'm not really seeing how it is broken to be honest...

Re: Space Trucker Campaign Ideas

My group is playing freelance truckers. The job tables give decent cash payouts though they're discovering that one or two accidents can be massive setbacks especially with spare parts costing 100k-200k. My players are turning a bit more to scavenging and going further with it than the book. "Can we...

Re: Using xenomorphs as a biological weapon

I think that Ripley from Alien 4 would be a more desirable end product. Genetically engineered human alien hybrids. Ripley? No. One fatal flaw for a product - no control over it. Just do what they did in Suicide Squad. Put a bomb in her head. Blow up one of the other clones so she knows it's real. ...

What sensors would a ship in Alien have?

I know they won't have the magic Star Trek sensors but I figure they'd have more advanced versions of common sensors. I'm asking because my players are going to be encountering a ship giving off a distress call and I'm sure they'll ask. Things I think a sensors roll could determine: Where the other ...

Re: [Moved] Survival Rate?

It's worth noting that Cinematic and Campaign play are vastly different. In Cinematic you're tossed into the meat grinder and it's expected you'll have 1 or 2 survivors at best. Campaign, well, despite being named Alien you better keep the Xenomorphs away for awhile.

Re: Stellar type data - real world - near stars

Telescopes largely lose their function once you start travelling faster than light. Sure their useful to count planets and know where stars are, but when even the nearest stars are over 4 years away and others are 1000's away, you may as well just send a ship out as likely something has happened in...
