Re: Age Of Innocence (Character Ages)

another, more recent, work with a gun to a teddy bear's head (Though I do not believe it's from the 'Tales From' series)
The gun to the teddy bear's head is from  Things From the Flood. It's a proper gun, "grandfather’s old pocket pistol" according to the story.

Re: DM at Roll20?

I'd love to play with some people. I plan to GM it for my family but I've never GM'ed a game at all before so I can't volunteer to run a game yet. Maybe after I get a little experience under my belt though.

Re: Differences from the MYZ/Coriolis ruleset

Love the sound of a low/no combat game about solving mysteries. Been looking into running a Boxcar Children like game for young players.
Ahhh brilliant point. I'm planning on GM'ing this for my four kids who adore the Boxcar kids.

Yes, well past it now! How exciting! When they announced it as a stretch goal I thought right away of you posting it here weeks ago. Good call. :)

And yes, Flight of the Navigator! I watched that movie over and over as a kid. I also just rewatched The Last Starfighter. Those are both a pretty different setting, a lot lighter I think, but the fun of a kid's adventure in the eighties can't be beat.

Re: Influences [Books, TV Shows, Movies, Art]

I've never seen Twin Peaks or The Wonder Years. I might have to put those on my list. Probably Twin Peaks first. Right now I am binge watching the Beauty and the Beast from the 80s. It's so hokey but I love the magical, just on the other side of this world vibe it has :)

Re: Influences [Books, TV Shows, Movies, Art]

How about X-files, just for that blend of real and weird. Or Fringe for the same. I've been watching 80s robot movies with my kids, like Short Circuit and Batteries Not Included. Art is harder. I have lots of artists that I love but nobody like Stalenhag. If anybody has more recommendations I'd love...

Re: Out Of The Loop [Alternate Locations]

That made me laugh about Melbourne. It actually made me feel better, too. I'll check out the movies you suggested. The only one I could think of was "Mio in the Land of Faraway" from the 80s and you can't  find that anywhere now. The major draw for the game, for me, is playing around in a ...

Re: Out Of The Loop [Alternate Locations]

The Swedish setting is where it belongs, of course. I'd rather explore that in depth than go to other places. On the other hand, I am nervous that I don't know the area well enough to play effectively in that setting, whereas growing up in the US that setting would be a natural fit. I wonder how muc...
