Re: Question about Foliage vs Forest hexes.

This might make sense in the context of specifically Polish forest. Many forests of Poland are birch or sosna pine -- tall, thin, featureless stick farms, essentially. Like so: http://www.krakowpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/forest-2370476_1280.jpg You can see how this doesn't offer as much co...

Re: Question about Foliage vs Forest hexes.

Yeah. Super good question. I went back to read to find the answer …. and I can’t find one that makes sense. UNLESS, foliage is dense shrubs V2 trees. But, I think the real answer may be that visibility is 1 and cover doesn’t count in the same hex. Maybe I always interpreted visibility 1 as you bein...

Question about Foliage vs Forest hexes.

So, I was looking through the modifiers for the different terrains and I came across something that confused me a bit. So, on the battlemaps, Forest is indicated by sparsely populated trees while Foliage is indicated by densely populated trees. While this makes some sense, since Forest only gives yo...

Re: I'm considering making Personal Medkits last longer.

My thinking is there anything that gives the player a choice, might be fun.

If someone rolls two successes, do they want to keep the medical kit, or increase the healing result by two? Their choice, but they cannot have their cake and eat it too.
Exactly my thinking :)

Re: T2k Support and Publishing Plans

In a Patreon update today, Twilight Maps (who is the map artist for Urban Ops) said:
Thank you SO MUCH for pointing me in his direction!

I am now a contractor-level patreon of his!

He makes great (and LARGE) maps for use with the game and they're perfect for use in Foundry VTT.

Re: I'm considering making Personal Medkits last longer.

You could e.g. say that 2 additional successes can be used to not use the kit - your choice (i.e. instead of adding +2 successes to healing you can instead take them as not using the kit) Just my thoughts ! That's actually the one I'm leaning towards since having +2 successes is kinda rare and that...

Re: Group Recon -roll alternatives?

It is bit off the tangent, but I have to comment what Oddball wrote: The game is geared more towards realistic I am not sure I agree. The YZE in general, also the TW4e, is not so much about simulating realism as it is about "game realism". With this I mean that realistically gunfights pre...

Re: Group Recon -roll alternatives?

Naturaöly there are many uses for all skills, that is not the issue here. My main ”problem”, as minor as it is, is that group stealth is not handled in a very empowering way. A group of 4 sneaking areoun, 3 have RECON A and one F, so that is rolled (as an extreme example). Think of this from the po...

Re: I'm considering making Personal Medkits last longer.

I'm leaning more and more towards the "number of successes" on the First Aid roll.

I'd say requiring 2 additional successes after the first one would be a decent limit, I think.
