Explosives are underpowered?

My character throws a grenade and it lands at Close range of the target, but only has 67% chance of doing 1 point of damage. Why bother, when my character can just shoot to deal the same damage... and ammo is a lot cheaper than grenades!
Shouldn’t explosives be more deadly ?

Re: Does the Timeline match other MY:0 settimgs?

Thanks, and just so I’m understanding the storyline correctly...
“several generations ago” is true?
“No human can survive outside” is disinformation made up by the ruling house?

Enlighten skill

I’m not fully seeing the benefits of the GM rolling for this skill. It’s similar to Comprehend skill, where if you fail the skill roll then the GM can give you false info. There is no need to hide the skill roll. Moreover, because the skill roll is hidden, you have to just guess to push the roll or ...

Interesting perspective... thanks!

Does the Timeline match other MY:0 settings?

Elysium beta book, page 102. “Earth’s surface was turned into a devastated wasteland many generations ago.” “No human can survive outside the enclave for longer than it takes for the seal of a hazmat suits to fail, or for an oxygen tank to run empty.” The fist quote implies roughly 100 years has pas...

Re: Ideas for a christmas themed mystery

How about a science school project, where the kids brought some items from their respective parents work (which maybe they shouldn’t have) to win “best project”, and the clues could be reported sightings in the news. Nobody knows what the mysterious flying object is and the police have no leads on t...

Re: Ideas for a christmas themed mystery

It’s not uncommon.
Could be a fun mystery when the players realize they’re the cause of the problem, which creates a new urgency (common motivation) to fix what they broke before their parents find out... Because that’s when they’ll get into real trouble!

Re: Ideas for a christmas themed mystery

Cool story. It should be something that the kids themselves did, unknowingly, that started a sequence of events leading to the crazy robot. Maybe, one of the kid’s parent works at an AI research facility, another kid’s parent is an engineering building the robot Santa for marketing at a toy shop, wh...

Re: Ideas for a christmas themed mystery

Which aspect of Christmas do you want prevalent in your game? Start of winter: something to do with winter solstice? Santa Clause: something regarding the North Pole and elf magic? Family gathering: adventures to save their families while keeping it all a secret? Christ: revealing a major religious ...
