Re: Who knows that Zygofer is "spoiler"?

I have had It a secret (after the bloodmist information is scant) and the PCs/players think that Zygofer is the founder of the Rustchurch and Zytera is the prophet of today) as the PCs had a lot interaction with Therania at Weatherstone (where she admitted she was kept hostage by Zygofer and asked f...

Re: Forbidden Lands and "Arabian Nights"...at least sort of

This sounds nice! In the Aslene thread a few people suggested "deserts, necromancers and deamons" so there are certinly affection for it. To the City of Brass and "emirates" I would add a mountainous lawless area filled with bandits, sorcerers and warlords (thinking more of Conan here). Maybe your v...

Re: Running A Campaign

1) If the game is open sandbox, how do you work legends in? Do you preplan which hex adventures sites are going to be on and drop legends beforehand? Are they lore rolls? Players need to make informed decisions but do you tell them Hex Y has this site of this legend if you want to explore it... or ...

Re: Adversery mages - how many WP/turn is balanced

I mostly decide before upon citumstance, or roll a D6/D8/D10 for how many WPs the NPCs have (then use the tactics that would be smartest depending on the number on WPs, including flee from the fight if its to few!). Then I try to play them smart/fun. This leads to the PCs trying to outsmart the Magi...

Re: Writing Aslene

After som more thoughts - some more input: I really like the remarks on time pressure/countdown clocks. I know Brior has had this in thoughts for Ravens Purge but that they did not make it to the final product, but maybe know is the time!? Actually I liked this idea so much that I have done it half-...

Re: Writing Aslene

Hello! Nice to be able to give input! In my opinion the best sites from Ravens Purge are those that are more closely tied to the main story. So more ties to the story, and more Legends that are interwoven with eachother. The Legends are such a great thing and I don´t think they are near their real p...

Re: Slavery in Ravenland

I made slavery very uncommon, and much confied to Grindbone. Now my players will probably never go there as "WHY should we go there and what could we possibly gain from it" (one of the players also have a backstory there) so I wont need to but I have thought of it. One of the great things with FL, y...

Re: Rolling for Lore

My players always roll for lore (as a group- anyone that can give story why they could help can do so) when they meet new monsters. If they succeed they get to read the text on the monster, very fun for anyone and often some tactic yo use-weakness to exploit!
