Re: ALIEN Colonial Marines PDF Bug Report Chapters 6-10

Mission 6: Operation Deep Shaft p 321, left: "There are shower blocks, a dining room, lounge, kitchen and games room." The oxford comma is inconsistently used on this page, and elsewhere in the PDF. I can't mark all places. Here it says "kitchen and" without comma, further down it's "D6 doses of X-...

Re: ALIEN Colonial Marines PDF Bug Report Chapters 6-10

And also it should be "ARE commanded by" Each of these 86-man companies is commanded by a captain and assisted by... I don't like to correct corrections, but I disagree. "Each of" refers to a singular company, so it should be "is" as it says in the book. The word "companies" is a distraction in thi...

Re: ALIEN Colonial Marines PDF Bug Report Chapters 6-10

Because most people will read from the front, I decided to start from the back for us to cover the whole book. Back Cover "the razor edge of space, marine" Should be "Marine" with a capital M, because it is a few lines down, and elsewhere in the book. Mission 7: Operation Octopus Garden p 332, upper...

Re: The First Alien Podcast

I've finally managed to listen to all three episodes, as I mainly only listen when I commute (or do the dishes). Excusing the audio quality because it was recorded at the pub has to be the most English thing ever! I didn't have any problems hearing what was said, but I listened with headphones so ma...

Re: Chariot of the Gods

I had three players. Here are the characters they played: Player A: Miller Player B: Rye (actually Lucas) Player C: Wilson -> Clayton -> Flynn -> Johns -> end of scenario Player C's characters died a lot! All four of them actually, but he took them over in situations that were very lethal. With the ...

Re: Chariot of the Gods

I can only answer how I handled it, and it's not the only way. I didn't even need notes during my session, but if I had used it, it would only be for the players to ask for information and clarifications. If they wanted to perform some action, even as minor as sneaking something down into their pock...

Re: Chariot of the Gods

We used to leave the room back in the 90s, or we would have players close their eyes, cover their ears and sing a song when the GM was telling someone a secret. Nowadays we're much too lazy for all that. We use the occasional written note, or just nod and give thumbs up to signal agreement between p...

Re: Consumables

I think it's important to only use the consumables system when interesting or dramatically correct. If you can plan your spacewalk or hike, have nothing weird happen, and finish on time, you shouldn't even have to roll. You're supposed to roll for air every turn, so how could you ever spend a shift ...

I've just come here looking for a printer friendly version of the Character Sheet too. :)
There's a printer friendlier sheet posted by Addramyr here: viewtopic.php?f=99&t=4749&start=10#p36951

Re: Victorypoints

Victory points could be called "shares", as a reference to the first movie. If Brett and Parker are worried that the others get more shares, they better focus on their personal agendas. Or just "bonus points", because both space truckers and colonists want a bonus. Even colonial marines if they're s...
