Krasylla's contract

Raven's purge says "Zytera has a contract signed in Krasylla's blood hidden in Zygofer's clothing. The contract prevents Krasylla from harming Zytera." and "In the partially decomposed cloak worn by the old man, Zygofer, is the parchment that holds the contract that binds Krasylla to ...

Merigall's weakness is rubbish. He needs to get in the sea.

(1) All major players in Raven's purge can be killed somehow Of the major players in Raven's Purge, most are at the level the PCs should be at the end of the campaign so don't need weaknesses. Zertorme and Zytera will go mad if they put on Stanengist (so will Merigall, but he knows not to; and Kras...

Re: How do you do time management?

Sorry for not replying earlier; I apparently didn't get emailed that you'd answered? If you're wondering whether you're overcomplicating, and the solution you were thinking of was something like Diplomacy, my personal opinion is that you are definitely overcomplicating. But what matters is what your...

Re: How do you do time management?

My instinct would be that you do not, in fact, want to roll for stronghold events every week. A minor trip - let's say to somewhere 5 hexes away and back over open terrain - will take a week; anything more significant and by the time the PCs come back a whole bunch of people will be waiting for them...

What are Gemelda, Neyd and Nebulos even for?

(1) Only 3 of the original 7 elves are (ahem) fleshed-out Viridia was a proud warrior who got corrupted by Scrome, but Merigall likes them evil so he wants her just as she is. Either way, she's in a sword and she's making people kill people. Algared decided "OK, I'm going to give this whole El...

Re: Theory: turning the previous elf house into Stanengist was what enslaved the orcs, and made demonic incursion possib

"History is written by the victors" is a useful phrase, but my theory, in a GM-only forum, was about what actually happened. That's what I particularly wanted feedback on: do my ideas about the underlying metaphysic make sense? But OK, let's think about why the stories the PCs will hear ar...

Theory: turning the previous elf house into Stanengist was what enslaved the orcs, and made demonic incursion possible

(1) What's up with the orcs? Legends say that Wyrm told Clay to create the orcs, to address the imbalance between elves+dwarves and the newly-arrived humans. When war happened, elves+dwarves sent their orc slaves into battle against the humans. The humans raised demons in turn and won; the elves an...

Re: "Use ingredient" for spellcasting

I asked about this a while ago , and the tl;dr is I think that your grimoire should be a hefty book with big, thick pages, with room for ingredients, so it's a Ready action to get your grimoire out the first time, then flicking to the right page, casting the spell with the help of your grimoire and ...

Re: Who were unharmed by the Blood Mist?

It's only been a couple of months, so I don't think this is thread necromancy. The "Legends & Adventurers" booklet mentions a surprising amount of travelling from village to village. Sometimes people are able to consistently avoid the Blood Mist: e.g. Alderlander, childhood, "You ...

Level 3 canonical magic users

Hey all, Based on the Raven's Purge campaign, this is my understanding of which NPCs are guaranteed to be potential level 3 teachers of magic talents: Druids: Path of Healing: Keldra the Deserving in Pelagia, Rain and Soul in Pelagia Path of Shifting Shapes: Merigall, Virelda Bloodbeak, Tarna in Hag...
