Re: Ability Increases At 4th and 8th Levels

Thank you! I thought so as I did not see it. Makes sense, especially since 10th level cap. Again many thanks.

Ability Increases At 4th and 8th Levels

Do PC’s get a +2 ability increases at 4th and 8th levels like D&D? Not sure I have seen it in the rules and was thinking possibly no since PC’s Cap at level 10. Thanks in advance!

Re: 5e Character Balance and Journey (new dm)

Also remember that sometimes it is better to let a party of new players to have an easy combat, to make them feel like heroes. Just not too often because your players want to be challenged. Also, do not be afraid to ask your players how it is going. You are all new and this is a learning experience ...

Re: Strider Mode?

I found the rules for Strider Mode easily adaptable to The Lord Of The Rings RPG. The Oracle and Lore Charts are pretty system neutral. The Journey rules and roles are about the same in both systems. I have used it in solo play with both systems. I hope this helps. Cheers

Re: Suggestions for chases during journeys

Those all sound like good ideas. I have done the following before. Start out by determining how far a lead the player characters have. How many hexes are they ahead of their pursuers? You can decide by such things. Did they use stealth or did they fight their way out. If they fought their way out mo...

Re: Distinctive Feautures

You could try it one of two ways, whichever you like or fits your style of play. If they use a distinctive feature in Roleplaying in a scene or usually asks if the trait can be used after Roleplaying then you can allow them to roll with advantage. Or You can allow them to roll an extra die (1d4, 1d6...
