Re: Moria 5E Alpha PDF Feedback

The Base Eye Awareness table in the Solo Play section has an error. Each Famous Weapon or Armour should only add +1 to the awareness score (as per the errata previously issued).

Re: Mount recovery

I would take into account the behaviour of the player-heroes: If they had no choice but to leave the mounts, and they are sad to lose them, then they should get them back in the fellowship phase. On the other hand if they were not treating the mounts with appropriate care, I might say they have to d...

Re: Moria Alpha PDF Feedback

p7 "Journeys in the Dark contains a set of Journey rules adjusted for underground exploration, as well as some Moria-specific Fellowship Phase undertakings." p7 I'd drop the reference to Appendix A and B, as the actual appendix doesn't use those terms. "Appendix B: Treasures of the D...

Re: Hunting for some adventures

Men of Eriador cultures

Hi, is there any plan to include in The One Ring any rules for playing the other mannish cultures of Eriador (Men of Tharbad, Marsh-folk of Swanfleet, and Fisher-folk of the Shore) as you have done for LotRRP (5e)?

Re: Combat Tasks, are they worth it?

Some rough maths on Intimidate Foe: Against a Parry 18 character in Forward Stance, most adversaries have roughly 66% chance to hit (an average 14 on the 4 x success dice, so 4+ needed on the Feat Die). If the adversary is made Weary by a successful Intimidate, that drops to roughly 33% (average 10 ...

Re: Combat Tasks, are they worth it?

One tactic could be: Round one: all but one player is in Defensive, either using Battle to gain an advantage for the next round or Protect Companion on the single player in Open Stance. The Open Stance player-hero uses Rally Comrades. Round two: everyone into Forward Stance to make best use of the b...

Re: New art revealed

I can’t answer your question about printing costs, but I can say that the physical book is beautiful. Lovely texture to the cover and each page.

If one of you only has a phone, I would say Discord and Narvi is the best option by far.

Re: Trying to plan a session involving the shards of Narsil being stolen.

I’m very late to the party here, but you could make it a chase sequence based on the Call of Cthulhu chase rules (well explained here: https://youtu.be/jy1LL05E5gI). Each step along the chase would be a hex. To make it work, you would need the players to know for certain where Sabian is going (and t...
