Re: How many dice needed?

The English plural of "die" is "dice." "Dice" is already plural. That depends upon which nation one's from. The UK has used «dice» as both singular and plural for decades. The US generally uses «die» as singular, but the UK use is creeping in as RPGs and boardgames glo...

Re: How many dice needed?

I have 40 of each. As the GM, I reserve 10 and 5, and the rest are in a receptacle on the table. The players tend to keep the Stress dice as their Stress counters, which works well.

Re: Alien attacks a...

The obvious approach is to just wing it, keeping in mind the, uh, whimsy of the xenos' tactics. Second, you could easily create your own table. You could even do it right at the table, with a two-minute break in the action. If you come up with good house-ruled tables, post 'em here! Finally, you cou...

Re: Hope's Last Day question ...

Hmm, was just thinking that being a truly secret Android, i.e. from the players as well is effectively impossible because androids don't use stress dice. Chariot of the Gods has rules for secret androids. Basically it comes down to "follow all the rules for humans until either (a) you decide n...

Some thoughts on running Hope's Last Day this upcoming Saturday ...

(1) I have six players, so I created a sixth PC ... a kid nicknamed Push-Pull. (2) I'm going to start the group out in a Daihotai, no comms, as they push to do their fantasy football draft. Push-Pull is a stowaway, in line with his/her character. (3) As they finish up and start the drive in, the ann...

[HOUSE RULE] Twitchy Androids

Some models of androids are known to be "twitchy." Perhaps their coding is not perfect, their positronic pathways aren't conducting properly, or maybe even the Three Laws have not been embedded correctly ... maybe even deliberately. These androids represent this by using Stress Dice as &qu...
