Re: Investigator House Rule #1: Shadowing

Cool. What you're talking about is often taught as the "ABC method" to criminal investigators in the English speaking world. This vid/lecture decently reflects materials I've been exposed to: https://youtu.be/W7BY3v-DXDI Besides the French Connection, an almost literal textbook performance...

Re: T2k Support and Publishing Plans

So Free League is developing their own OGL, here's an excerpt from the email: The Year Zero Engine in various iterations has been used in most Free League RPGs in recent years, including Mutant: Year Zero, Coriolis, Tales From the Loop, Forbidden Lands, ALIEN, Vaesen, Blade Runner RPG, and the upco...

Re: In light of “One D&D” announcement, will Ruins still continue?

Think I responded in a different thread to you, but for folks polking around in this subforum, I think this is what's going I think like a lot of publishers, they're doing a serious look into the reality and ramifications of whatever may be happening with WotC's 1.0a to 1.1 moves. The present OGL is...

Re: OGL 1.1 or OGL 1.0a

I think like a lot of publishers, they're doing a serious look into the reality and ramifications of whatever may be happening with WotC's 1.0a to 1.1 moves. The present OGL is tied into their SRD for reasons I don't fully understand but a lot of publishers of Free League's size are in the same situ...

Re: Third Party Content

I think there might be more of a wait and see. Some things are still technically "rumor/unofficial" in the TTRPG landscape, maybe that gets clarified this week. Maybe it doesn't. Clearly FL and other publishers have expressed a clear desire for community content arrangements and 3rd party ...

Wow, at least at first glance this looks really cool. Thank you! Definitely better organized than my attempts to do it on plain ol' paper to date.

Re: Third Party Content

This might be a good time for Fria Ligans to have a look at the irrevocability and termination clauses for their 3PP licences. If you poke around their OGL and Community Content sub forums, I think it shows they started doing that a few days ago. I think recent events have got a bunch of game publi...

Re: SEAL questions....

Open source indicates 2006 is when SWCC got the SB designations. Prior to '06 SWCC got NSW ratings and used regular Navy titles. SWCC didn't become formally "closed loop" from the regular Navy until '96 (but may have had an informal culture of retaining members rather than rotating out), a...

Re: TWD License

I believe they have TTRPG rights to what they called "The Walking Dead Universe" which I believe as recently as the most recent Free League community chat they have mentioned included the existing shows and forthcoming shows (curiously, or maybe not, I don't believe the comics are included...

Re: Scenario Concept

Welcome to the forum. I forget whether it's explicitly stated in the Core Rulebook, but I know as conventional wisdom/practice it's highly encouraged in campaign play to not expose the PCs to Xenomorphs, Engineers, goo of unknown origin, etc.; but instead to give the PC whether they be space trucker...
