Re: 2019-era LAPD Sidearm (aka. "Deckard's Blaster")

I think there's far less, if any, ambiguity about Leon's holdout pistol.
Other than the seeming fact that Tyrell has no security in place. Or, that Holden was sent out without any briefing from Bryant.

Re: More Nexus models and other ponderings.

Two areas (and forgive me if I mentioned this in this forum already, I can't remember) that make sense to explore, especially in LA: Entertainment industry. What does Hollywood look like? How would Replicants be incorporated? Religion: LA has always been home to a diversity of religions, including ...

Re: More Nexus models and other ponderings.

I like many of your musings, and the direction they point in. Just to throw in a couple of variables: The LA of Bladerunner seems a lot different from just a linear extrapolation of the cultural development anno 1980. The currency is altered. There are many more languages in use, forcing new ones t...

Re: Why Use The T2K Dice System?

I agree. A range of only 4 ratings doesn't leave much room, especially considering replicants. I can't remember where I saw it, maybe one of the YouTube interviews, but I think Replicants have special rules for Pushing that make it easier for them to Push a Roll. It was in Update #9 of the Kickstar...

Re: More Nexus models and other ponderings.

I can't help but think that there should be more competing agencies with regards to Replicant oversight. I'm toying with a few options at the moment, not going to spend too much time on it till I see the core book. Corporate I struggle to believe a corporation can just put product out with no furthe...

Re: 2019-era LAPD Sidearm (aka. "Deckard's Blaster")

I was slightly intrigued to see that it is only issued to Blade Runners as well. From the films that wouldn't need to be a big production run ;) Maybe the regular patrol officers carry Series A, B, or C ;) And maybe, given they would be as likely to be encountering human criminals rather than Replic...

Re: 2019-era LAPD Sidearm (aka. "Deckard's Blaster")

Possibly a crit table where the higher the number the worse the outcome for the target. The lower crit die will lock you out of some of the deadlier effects. Or maybe in similar fashion to the skill rolls you have to roll 6 or above to confirm a crit. Looking forward to the pdf release to see more s...

Re: 2019-era LAPD Sidearm (aka. "Deckard's Blaster")

I see what you mean about the Mannlicher bolt now, I hadn't noticed how far back the image shows it being pulled back. I'm sure in the physical prop I saw the bolt arm revolved to open the ejection port but didn't slide back much, if at all (maybe the handler just made sure this didn't happen I've w...

Re: 2019-era LAPD Sidearm (aka. "Deckard's Blaster")

I found it quite refreshing at the time that Deckard's pistol had secrets. The film makers did not feel the need to manufacture situations to reveal what every switch, lever, and barrel was for ;) Of course, that doesn't really help when it comes to figuring out the pistols in game features. I haven...

Re: More Nexus models and other ponderings.

I was reminded recently that the term Blade Runner has no relevance to the actual film. It was the title of another work that Ridley Scott thought sounded cool, he wasn't wrong. That work was 'Blade Runner (the movie)' by William S Burroughs, a novelisation of an attempt to make the original source ...
