There already is one such thread in the swedish part of the forum:

Put your list in a Spotify-list and post it :).

Well I can understand that. :P

The point though is that the content is pretty much self explanatory, you see the actual songs and list suggested and they are all related to the game.

Silent Hill could be great, but if you could alternate some othe tracks with 20's 30's music gives you at atmosphere like some of the Fallout radios. Benny Goodman is great:

I put together a playlist for my playgroup a few years back, haven't updated it since though. It's mostly ambient/electronic music from the 80's or stuff that's inspired by the former. I found Brian Eno's "Ambient 4/On Land" to be particularly good as a general use backing track for most situations.

Here's the Spotify link for anyone interested:

My Spotify playlists for Year Zero:

Zone travel - I wanted the same feeling I get when watching Stalker and The Road. Majestic landscapes and little-to-no hope, mixed with dreamy overtones.
Life in the Ark - The feeling of bleak existence in a failing society.
The Search for Eden - Lush landscapes from a dream, a feeling of hope.
Heading into Eden - Darkness, dread lurking in the background. The players should never feel safe.
