I wonder how this would play out for you? Will the moving further away provoke Free Attack?
Let me describe the situation.
STEP 1. p. 068 SPECIAL ATTACKS: In close combat, you might want to achieve a different result than simply hurting your opponent (…) You push your opponent to SHORT range.
STEP 2. Now, Being in short range AP of active enemy you use your move action to go into next zone
Will this provoke the Free Attack?
NO - You move away from an active and standing enemy at ENGAGED range, and you broke the contact in point and you are in SHORT range - this seems logical when combined with Step 1.
Maybe YES, but I don’t feel so - same page in manual: *You move past an active and standing enemy in the same zone. (Free Attacks)* SHORT puts you in the same zone, but in Step 1 you do move away, so hardly you will be moving past the enemy.
