Rider is an interesting case because as currently described it seems to be written specifically with the Aslene in mind (none of the other profession descriptions mention kin) - in which case Horseman / woman / person would make sense, but I agree Rider gives more flexibility (which I think is what's intended) - if a player wants a Dwarven Rider (Hey, it might happen), would they really have a horse, or some sort of cave lizard? I'm sure there will be a longer list of mounts in the gear section. Hopefully, we'll see the text in the starting equipment changed to 'mount' or similar.
I agree with Kull's point about discussion with the GM though - fundamentally generic 'class' names are fine for players, for organising the books and defining talent 'trees'. What's really important is how the player chooses to present his character to the world - if he wants to describe himself as a Hunter, a Scout or a Shaman, then that's fine by me.
