Book of legends

Sun 19 Aug 2018, 11:45

I was thinking of having the adventurers find a book of legends, perhaps left in plain site by Merigall at Weatherstone to kickstart the hunt for the elven stones.

I will probably start the campaign at the Hollows with Weatherstone close by as the nearest old castle, have the adventurers find the Bard's Tale as a physical book that I can give to the players filled with the legends of the Forbidden lands, so the group can decide what they want to look for on thier travels.

Obviously I will also need to work out where all the adventure sites live on the map so that I don't have any surprises from them marching off across the plains.

What do others think?

Sounds cool, giving players access to legends early on is not a bad idea, just don't overwhelm them with information. :)

As for players marching off across the plains, that's kind of the idea of this game - let them go where they like! :) You can place the adventure sites along their way.
