Placing adventure sites

Mon 11 Jun 2018, 09:52

The current adventure sites of weatherstone and the vale of the dead have very unique terrain features that will make it difficult to just place randomly on the map, could guidance be included to cover where best to place each site based on the needs of the site and matching terrain. And also a description of the overall landscape that the characters see as they approach, so they know from a good distance that they are approaching a cliff or canyon as the case may be.

Hi!

Hexes on the map are large (10 km across), so the idea is that you can place almost any adventure site in any hex with the corresponding category. There are some exceptions, such as The Hollows that should be placed by a river.

Of course, I had it in my head that the hexes were smaller.

Maybe adding something to each adventure site describing the landscape on approach would help the gm to describe what terrain the players encounter?
