That sounds like a good compromise, thanks. It will give us a good guide for where Kin would mainly be found but also sounds flexible enough that we can move kin and clans as we need to.

This map is now submitted to FL who will include it in the game. It shows for instance where the various orc clans have their core areas. This said, anybody can basically be encountered anywhere. Anything goes as long as you can come up with an explanation for it.

Will there also be additional tables in the random village creation rules to cover most prevalent kin?

Hi all,

We will likely include the map, showing where the different kin are most common, in the Gamemaster's Guide. That way, it's easy for a GM to adapt the random encounters depending on where in the Forbidden Lands the adventurers are. That said, and as Erik mentions, we should underline that these are not hard borders by any stretch - adventurers can still encounter almost any kin almost anywhere on the map.
