How many Willpower points per session?

I was wondering how many willpower points are usually spent during one game session. I have only playtested FL once and didn’t count the total amount that time. This is for an adventure I’m scribbling down and a willpower mechanism I’m trying to tie into it. (More specifically: you have a deck of cards and every WP is one card (faces down). When you spend a WP you play a card from your hand. The value of the played card then has implications on the main plot and what moves and actions the bad guys take)

So just a rough estimate, all players, all points spent during one night - how many points? If any of you who have played FL more could throw a guess that would be much appreciated!
Also - smart and wonderfully clever criticism of my planned mechanism is much appreciated :)

I tend to only allow players to carry over willpower that they allready have. If they have zero then i grant 1 at the start of the session. So far they havent seemed to run out

Thanks for the reply!

I was however thinking more of a sum of all the points. I think I was quite unclear, but I’m thinking more like this:

If the GM broke an egg every time a player spends a WP - after one game session, how many broken eggs?

(I realise this is a “how big is a fish”-question, but I’m only looking for a rough estimate)

In a standard three hour session my players might earn 2 and maybe spend 1. All depends on how lucky/unlucky they are.....

Very different at boss climaxes and what not

Thanks! Ok, that’s not much... I think it was more like 3-5 per player for our test game, but I sadly don’t recall really . Interesting anyway!
