Yeah, as it turned out, it was unbeatable. But I wouldn’t put that down to any one factor.

No, I allowed it ‘cos they were getting hammered (and because i didn’t notice that distinction). Still save them.
So, without the talent it would have been unbeatable?
My group beat it quite easily. Of course, they had a blood mage and a really buffed warrior in the group which could do some heavy damage. 5 in armor seems a lot, but with normal rolls that only soak 1 damage.

All in all it took 3 rounds to beat the monster.Our dwarf warrior pushed his final roll which almost broke him and destroyed his axe. The result was 6 in damage (3 base damage+successes) and the monster failed to remove any damage and only parried 1 damage.

My party consisted of a Peddlar, a Ranger and a sorcerer, none in their own Armor :)
