C-Dose?

Tue 01 May 2018, 13:37

So, I'm wondering what exactly a C-Dose is and does. It is mentioned in table 5.5 Medical Equipment with a +1 Bonus, just like the M-Dose.
But on table 6.4 Medicurgical Technology it is nowhere mentioned and there isn't any description about it either.

You're right, it is nowhere to be found. :o
If you compared it to an M-Dose, a P-Dose and a T(Trauma)-Dose, it looks like it is merely an alternate version of the M-Dose - perhaps with a conditional modifier or downside.
I have the swedish version, I'll check it to see if it sheds any light on this.

We just removed "c-dose" from game because it is not even mentioned neither in core, nor in other books...

It is called a Cyberinjector in the swedish rulebook and is Advanced tech.

Here's the translated text:

A cybernetic equivalent to the m-dose, it is used to repair cybernetics in the field.
Consists of a small injector filled with repairing and stabilizing cybernanites.
Can be used once before it is consumed.
Often called a "C-Dose". A C-Dose gives + 1 to Medicurgy and +1 to Technology

Well, that's why "c-dose" was removed from english book -- there is no game mechanics for cybernetics damage. How about swedish rules?

There's a brief mention under cyber prosthetics, two types of them. Regular (that require Technology + Medicurgy + an Ordinary spare part to fix if critically damaged) and self-repairing prosthetics with nanites in them (they heal normally).

They both seem to have been cut from the English version, so I guess the C-Dose is a leftover from the swedish version as well.
