Re: Staffing a keep, question about salaries

Yes, it's expected that staff will purchase their own food and lodgings, so that we only have to track daily salary. The only exception to this would be under siege conditions, as food will start running out for everyone.

Re: Selling loot

I was going with 50% for common items and 70% for rare items as the group won't be amassing lots of loot due to encumbrance and also the scarcity of things and because they don't currently have any spare coin, just this 8sp necklace.

Re: Are starting attributes final?

I don't have a problem with attributes being set, I am not sure what is added to the game by having an option to spend xp to increase an attribute, except ever increasing dice pools and power levels. To me this game isn't about that. I do like the rule that as you age you lose an attribute point but...

Re: Mapping locations on the map

Another location mentioned is - the hidden village of Koracia, supposedly housing a shrine honoring the Raven god, pg 48 of the GMs Guide.

Artifacts

How often are people giving out artifacts? The guidelines suggest that artifacts are a big deal and should be given out sparsely but there are a lot of artifacts in the book, which need to be put in front of players, and most adventure sites have the possibility of finding artifacts, so they are not...

Orcs as Kin, not fodder

I have been looking at some alternative adventures sites, using adventure modules from other companies, and a lot of the time Orcs are placed as the aggressors, raiding and terrorising the more peaceful races of the land with he expectation that the adventurers will need to clear out the Orcs to bri...

It would be great to have some more detail about Farhaven as it seems pretty important if it's big enough to have a library.

Re: Mapping locations on the map

I would be interested in hearing how people have placed adventure sites. I asked he players where they wanted to start and where to place the Hollows, obviously near a river. I then gave hints about Weatherstone and gave directions to that site. The next site they hear about will be the Vale of the ...

I was looking at Pelagia as being over that side of the map.
