I like the suggestion that herding became a job for children. As a result, after the Bloodmist lifted, there are mostly only smaller herd animals are left - sheep, goats, and pigs. I think the intention is for GMs to decide this to suit their campaign. For me, they will be super-rare - either hoarded by magicians, or artifacts which can be occassionally found in suitable ruins. A sorcerer would be lucky to find one in a single one in my campaigns.
