Re: Ship combat

You brought up some good points. If it was fired at long range 4cu and moves 2cu per turn then the target ship could keep moving away and delay it more. I would say if the torpedo was locked it should stay locked. Also rolling then makes sense like you said due to captain bonuses and lock bonuses. I...

Re: Crew positions

I would love to add both ship inteligence and a ship system but they are very expensive 300k and 200k for class 3. And you only get to start with 3 features. I really wish you could start with more. I think with most ships atmospheric entry is a must. If you wanted to buy one later you can but find ...

Re: Torpedoes

I think the torpedo ship in reference in the ship is a shape not a weapon system.  Its a class 2 ship likely fast and made for boarding and assault.

I would also agree that storing torpedo in a cargo hold is possible but likely foolish.  But like you said they could have multiple torpedo rooms.

Re: Ship combat

Do you know when you roll to hit with a torpedo?  Is it only the round it is going to hit?  For example if someone fires from 4CU you would not roll to attack until next round when it goes the 4 CU and then you roll to attack at the same time as the autocannon?  Or would you see if the torpedo attac...

Re: Ship combat

I think that is a good way to handle it.  Where if you dont attack you can hold for defensive but you can NOT hold to attack

Re: Crew positions

I think we fully agree now.  Oh and if you don't pilot a class 3 ship that is 3 EP and that is a ton extra jobs you can do.  Three actually.  With a crew of 5 (1 captain at 0 EP)  that allows for 1 person to do an extra job, if you have the engines with +1 EP thats 2 people doing 2 jobs if they want...

Re: Ship combat

You make some really good points. I never thought of holding actions. How would you handle it if both hold actions?

Re: Crew positions

Vox. I overlooked that for pilot thank you. But on the second part it does say 1 man could crew a ship for 5 but with a -8. So you can run multiple positions. If the pilot is not moving the ship there is lots of EP to go around. It does say you can only do 1 thing per phase. But why not act in 2 pha...
