Re: Errata - HMG ranges

Weapon ranges: Mk19 range is 20 M2HB is 15 Each hex is 10m Extreme range is 8x short range (above) Making maximum extreme ranges: Mk19 1600m M2HB only 1200m I’m very experienced with these weapons. The M2HB effective range is longer than the Mk19, and is considerably more accurate at the long end of...

Re: Error - Pulse Rifle Ammo

Even though it is only "weak" radioactive, it is still dangerous if you get it inside you (which of course is the sole purpose of a weapon). Inhaled or ingested, yes. Injected is another matter. It’d have to be in solution or perhaps powdered and even then this is a terrible way to go abo...

Re: Error - Pulse Rifle Ammo

Depleted Uranium Tipped Bullets https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depleted_uranium Very effective, very deadly That’s depleted uranium you’re referring to, which is not the same thing as U-238. Depleted uranium contains small amounts of other isotopes other than 238 which are only found in spent reacto...

Error - Pulse Rifle Ammo

Cinematic Starter Kit, p. 86 says Pulse Rifle rounds are tipped with U-238. U-238 is not hazardous and barely radioactive. You’d have to wear a suit of it for years to get mild skin cancer. Suggestion: Choose another isotope or element or just delete that part. https://ieer.org/resource/factsheets/u...

Re: Weeks discovered to be “not a thing”?

A solution was cobbled together on The MeWe site. Here’s how it goes (not official). A week is 6 days. 6 weeks per segment, plus one transition day at the end of each segment. That way the so-called extended period of rest after each segment now works. A watch is 6 hours, with one transition hour be...

Weeks discovered to be “not a thing”?

How the Third Horizon reckons time, p.248: Cycle: 1 Kuan year, 336 Kuan days Triad: a “season”, more or less. 3/cycle. 1 extra day between each. Segment: 1 “month” more or less. Note that Kua has no moon so there is no concept of a lunar month. 37 Kuan days. 9/cycle. “Each segment ends with an exten...

Grenade Miss/Scatter

If you throw or launch a grenade and miss, where does it land/detonate?

Might not matter much with most small grenades, but it would if the Blast is 7+. Those have a wide radius of (usually) low damage potential...

Re: Couple of Rules Questions.

Survival makes he most sense to me too. Regarding question 2: There is no such thing as a “neighboring system.” They only appear that way because they are linked by portals. Two stars linked by a single portal could be 5000 light years apart in normal space, while two other stars that you have to ma...

Re: Starting gear write up

Thank you for posting this. It’s a good idea. A digest for easy player reference (especially those that don’t have a rulebook yet - you know how players are...) with a few brief added notes to answer those questions they don’t know they’ll have yet. :-)
