The Adventure Book is a bit of a stealth GM book.

First, I think it is awesome FL is offering licenses for their games. But the Coriolis KS stated this game's license won't allow a a stand alone game and no mention of an SRD at this time, which sounds less of an Open Game License and more of a Game System License. (Mind you FL's 3pp GSL for Dragonb...

Speaking of other attacks, this is where the fiction of the attack can help - such as when it's described the monster jump in mid-air to deliver an attack.

Also remember some monsters have implied alternate movements, such as the giant spider and climbing.

Wings are also a great option as well.

What is "culture gaming" ?

I'm guessing they mean it's not a lore heavy game.

So far the only opposed rolls we've had are for Poison.

If you have the boxed set, then you have the Solo rules which give a couple of HAs that help a solo PC tackle challenges. Read through it and you'll see them.

I like a lot of that (summoning a spirit to possess an existing creature is a nice, dark touch), but permanent WP sacrifice seems like a steep cost given that you could lose it forever if it gets into a fight..! Usually I'd suggest that the creature's death restores the lost WP, but it's only 1 WP....

Any advice on building adventures that are balanced so I don't TPK or cake my adventures? Really love this system and want to build a home grown campaign but need GM advice.
